About the Author

Hi, I am Lyn and Jesus is my BFF.  But, before I go into more detail about that, let me share a little about myself.  I am a blessed mother of 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren, and 16 grand pets. (I call them my grandbabies). Also, I am blessed with a nephson. Let me explain – when my younger sister passed away, my older sister and I raised her son, our nephew.  He has become a son to us, hence I call him my nephson.

I am a retired junior high special education teacher and I miss teaching every day since I retired.  Teaching is my passion, just ask my children. “Mom is in her teaching mode again,” is what you will hear them say.  I was blessed to be a stay at home mom, so I didn’t finish my education until my children were in school. I got a late start in my career choice, teaching a total of 22 wonderful years.

I have loved the Lord all of my life and attended church since I was very young.  Down through the years, I thought my relationship with Jesus was well grounded in faith and love. I didn’t realize I needed more, needed to commit more until recently. In the past few months, I have experienced a renewal and revival in my walk with Jesus.  Through prayer, study, and continually asking for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, I have felt my connection with Jesus come alive in a tangible way.

I am starting this blog because the teacher in me can’t be silenced.  The necessary knowledge for surviving this world and the future to come, that I am learning day by day, is just itching to be voiced.

So I hope you enjoy my blog.  If you like what I’m sharing feel free to subscribe and share with others. If you have thoughts to share, personal stories to tell, questions, please do.  If you have prayer requests let me know and my sister and I will pray for you. I would love to hear from you.

If you don’t like what I am saying, please respond in a kind and thoughtful way if you wish to get a response from me and please provide sources to back up your thoughts. Let us see if we can sit down (figuratively speaking) and reason together.
